Dear Parents of Montgomery County Middle School:
I would like to take this time to discuss what parent-teacher conferences are going to look like this year. We will be offering several options for you to discuss your child’s progress with their teachers. We ask that if you feel your questions or concerns can be answered via email or phone call, please utilize those options. Please allow some flexibility in teacher responses to your call or email as it will take them some time to respond back to everyone. We will attempt to contact you by the end of the following school week. At the bottom of this letter you will find a complete list of teacher names, subjects taught, and email addresses. Please feel free to reach out to the teachers with any questions or concerns. I have also attached a Google form for you to complete with your contact information, the method you would like a teacher to use to contact you, and which teachers you would like to receive communication from. https://forms.gle/Qiz2i88mBKGBt93VA
We understand that there are concerns that are best addressed in a face-to-face meeting. If you would like to schedule a face-to-face conference please call the middle school office at (573) 564-2253. We would ask that these face-to-face conferences focus on students with D or F grades and/or behavior concerns in the classroom. We ask that you do not arrive more than ten minutes ahead of your scheduled conference and we ask that only parents and the middle school student attend the conference. We would also request that you follow social distancing guidelines. Masks are highly recommended while you are in the building and will be available at the office. We want to maintain the health and safety of our staff and we feel that these requests will help limit any possible COVID-related exposures.
We are saddened that we need to limit the number of parents that attend parent-teacher conferences but we feel that this is in the best interest of our staff and students. We appreciate your continued support and understanding as we try and determine the safest course of action for all stakeholders.
