Wednesday, September 15 is our first Change the World day at JBE. Students can bring in their change, wear a hat, and help make a change in our community and world. This month all donations will go to the NRG Buddy Pack program. NRG Packs provides weekend bags of nutritious, kid-friendly, easy-to-prepare foods for students in the Montgomery County R2 Schools and Immaculate Conception School.
It's time for our Fall Family Fun Night! Join us September 16 from 6:00-7:15 pm for fun activities, games, prizes, and snacks. Stop by the library and shop the book fair. Doors open at 5:45 for book fair shopping. Stay for our PTO meeting at 7:15. We hope to see you there!
The Book Fair is coming. A letter and flyer was sent home in Friday Folders last week. The book fair will open with a preview and shopping day on Friday, September 10. At this time families will not be allowed to shop the book fair during school hours. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Davis in the library.
Just a reminder, Gardening Club begins this week. 4th grade will have gardening club today (Tuesday) and 5th grade will have gardening club tomorrow (Wednesday) until 4:10. Students must have a signed permission form to participate.
Every year the volleyball team hosts a "Pink Out" game to help raise money to donate to local charities in the ongoing fight against cancer.
The MCHS Volleyball Team will host its annual Pink Out game on October 5 at 5:00 pm. Please come out and support the volleyball team!

We had 29 students complete and return their summer reading logs this year, which was almost twice as many students as last year! Students returning their reading logs were entered into a drawing. Today we had the drawing for the fabulous, fun prizes. Congratulations to our winners.
JBE is very excited to introduce our new MCR-II School Based Social Worker, Kylee Waite.
"My name is Kylee Waite and I am very excited to join the Montgomery Count R-II team as the School Based Social Worker. My position will provide support to children and families at all schools within the district and community connections. Now here is a little bit about me: I have lived in Montgomery County almost 18 years. I have worked in the area of Social Worker for over 14 years. I live with my husband , two children, and our puppy dog Rylie. We love the community we live in. Some of the things I enjoy doing most are swimming, boating, and traveling.
